The Governing Body of Everton Primary School is determined by an instrument of government and re-constituted (11th March 2015) as per the requirements of The School Governance (Constitution) (England) Regulations 2012. The Governing Body is now made up of 11 Governors:
4 Parent Governors - elected from the parent body;
1 Local Authority (LA) Governor - appointed by the LA;
2 Staff Governors (including the Head Teacher);
4 Co-opted Governors - appointed by the Governing Body for specific skills and to represent the community.
A key document for anyone interested in the governance of the school or in becoming a governor is at:
'The work of the Governing Body is well organised and systematic. It has ensured that it has a broad skill set. Governors routinely challenge and support leaders.'
