Safeguarding at Everton Primary School
Safeguarding at Everton Primary School is everyone's responsibility and priority. If you have any concerns at all regarding safeguarding then please speak to one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads immediately.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mr Andrew Green (Headteacher).
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs) are Mrs Lindsey Lewins (Assistant Headteacher) and Mrs Keely Bailey (School Manager).
Everton Primary School has a Data Protection Officer whose role is to ensure that any personal information processed by the organisation is processed fairly and lawfully (respecting your rights and ensuring we follow the law). If you have any concerns or questions regarding how we look after your personal information, please contact the Data Protection Officer by calling 01777 817350.
There are many ways Everton Primary School ensures it is a safe place for our children:
- We follow the guidelines for Keeping Children Safe in Education.
- Staff and governors undertake statutory safeguarding training.
- We follow safer recruitment guidelines when recruiting new staff and volunteers to our team.
- We follow rules and guidance if children do not attend school and ask that parents keep us informed of pupil absence.
- Our staff are trained in First Aid and Paediatric First Aid to enable to deal with accidents and incidents.
- Staff and visitors follow rules for using mobile phones in school.
- Children know they have staff in school that they can talk to if they have concerns about feeling safe.
Safeguarding: Out of Hours & School Holidays
Safeguarding concerns don’t only arise in term time - worries about a child’s safety or wellbeing can happen in the evenings, at weekends and during school holidays. If you’re concerned when school is closed, please use the services listed on this page (in an emergency call 999; otherwise follow the Children’s Social Care and out‑of‑hours contacts provided).
