On Thursday 22nd February we celebrated Founders Day/World Thinking Day. Children came to school in their Squirrel, Beaver, Cub or Scout uniforms, or their Rainbow, Brownie or Guide uniforms. They then taught the rest of school about the importance of their groups and their impact on society, as well as who and what they thought about helping and supporting in a positive way.

We also had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day 2024! The children dressed up in some amazing outfits based upon their favourite book characters and were all in such good spirits. Thank you to the PTA for coming in with ‘Wonka Bars’ for all the children, and ‘well done’ to all those that found golden tickets that enabled them to go home with a nice book. On World Book Day we also had a surprise visit from Donny Dog (Doncaster Rovers’ mascot), who dropped off some lovely books for our library!

Having applied for a chance to win a girls’ football kit from the Premier League we were fortunate enough to be one of the lucky winners! Phoebe Sneddon from Doncaster Rovers Belles then came to our school to do a training session with the girls team and present them with their new Premier League kit. Some girls from Key Stage 2 then represented us in our first ever girls’ match. We had a mixture of Year 3-6 girls taking on a side made almost solely of Year 6 girls which shows how well they all did. We are very proud of them all. Below is a Facebook link to the Club Doncaster Foundation page which shows their visit to Everton Primary School:

We currently have a Parent Governor position available on our school's Governing Body. If anyone is interested in possibly supporting school in this role then I can discuss details and commitments with you. We also currently have child places available in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. If you, or anyone you know, would like to visit our lovely school then please feel free to contact me via Mrs Keely Bailey in the school office on 01777 817350 or email: office@everton.notts.sch.uk
