On Friday 6th June 2025 the children in years 1 – 6 enjoyed a wonderful Sports Day on the Metcalfe Field. We are so fortunate at Everton Primary School to have such a beautiful and well-kept place to have our Sports Days as well as other sporting events. All children took part in schooltime classics: sprints, beanbag, egg and spoon and relay races. The week after, Friday 13th June 2025 was our EYFS Sports Day in glorious sunshine, where parents and carers were able to watch our future superstars taking part in the familiar sports day events. Thank you to all parents and carers and to Martyn Snell, groundsman at the Metcalfe Field for preparing it so beautifully and efficiently.
On Thursday 19th June our School Musical Theatre Group, together with Miss Spencer, took part in the annual ‘Sing Out’ music festival at Doncaster Dome. The children performed medleys of different genres of music, with previously learnt dance routines, in front of over a thousand people alongside other school groups from across the Doncaster area. We are incredibly proud of all who took part.
In other news, unfortunately our wonderful PTA has sadly come to an end, and we’re now in need of new volunteers to carry on the amazing work they’ve done for our school. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, or a local friend of the school, we’d love to hear from you. Even if you can only spare a little time, your help could make a huge difference. Without a new PTA, our children risk missing out on the extra events, support, and opportunities that make life so special at Everton Primary School. Therefore, if you can help in any way at all, no matter how big or small, then please get in touch with me via the school office to find out more information about what the role would entail.
Everton Primary School is a wonderful, friendly and happy school which gives opportunities for children to be children and a wide range of activities and cultural capital experiences such as the ones described above.
