Everyone. Everyday. Everlasting.
Hello and Happy New (academic) Year! It has been wonderful to welcome our children, new and old, back to Everton Primary School for the 2025-26 academic year. Some children have started our school for the first time, some have joined new classes and have new teachers, whilst all children are mixed with a different year group from last year. That is one of the most special elements to life in a small school – our children get to mix with a wide range of pupils from year to year and broaden their social as well as educational horizons.
The start of the year has seen our Class 3 (Year 5 & 6) children head to Whitby on the first residential visit of the academic year. The children were impeccably behaved, earning lovely comments from the accommodation staff and members of the public. Whilst in Whitby, the children took part in: a ‘Town Trail’, a coastal walk, some fossil hunting, a tour of the Lifeboat Station and Museum, a night walk around the abbey, and tour of the Captain Cook Museum. It was an action-filled three days that’s for sure!
Many of our children took part in the Everton Garden Holders Association Village Show, and we are very proud of all the winners and all those who took part. We were particularly proud of our EYFS (Nursery and Reception) who entered a ‘school-homegrown’ marrow and took first place!
In another proud moment, Everton Primary School has been nominated for the ‘Active School of the Year 2025’ award at the ‘Heart of Doncaster Awards 2025’ due to our commitment and input into supporting our local community and wider Doncaster area. We will see how we do in October, but for now it is just an honour to have been nominated!
Everton Primary School is a wonderful, friendly and happy school which gives opportunities for children to be children and a wide range of activities and positive experiences. We currently have spaces in Nursery, Reception and Year 1. If you are currently looking for child places in these year groups then please apply to join the EverTeam! If you would like to arrange a school visit or ask any questions about school admission, then please feel free to call or email school on 01777817350 or office@everton.notts.sch.uk
Best wishes,
