The Summer term is a wonderful time of year as our children complete their academic work and display their successes and progress. It is also when we need to make the most of the time we have left with our wonderful Year 6 children before they depart for their chosen secondary schools. With that in mind, our Year 6 children are now attending school wearing their ‘Leavers 25’ hoodies which look incredibly smart.

Before the Easter holidays our Year 5 children completed their DAaRT course and took part in their DAaRT Graduation. The DAaRT sessions are designed to equip young people with the knowledge and skills they need to transition from primary to secondary school. It also helps them to develop the social and emotional skills required to overcome challenges they may face.

At Everton Primary School we are incredibly fortunate to have such kind and supportive parents. Therefore, can I say a huge ‘thank you’ to Mr Coe and Retford Readymix Concrete and Screed Ltd (www.retfordreadymix.co.uk) for all their hard work and donations towards improving our ‘Top Nursery’ area in the EYFS. ‘Thank you’ also to MKM Building Supplies (www.mkm.com) who kindly donated the units and worktop. It has made a huge difference visually to the EYFS but will also improve the area for our Nursery and Reception children.

A reminder that this year we are offering private music sessions for babies, toddlers and children under the age of 5 years on a Wednesday morning in school from 10-11am courtesy of ‘Jack in the Box Musical Memories’.
