Everton Primary School

Everyone. Everyday. Everlasting.

January 2025

It has been wonderful to welcome our children back to school after the Christmas break and hear about all the excitement that they have had. Clubs for this term have started, including: Choir, Arts & Crafts and Board Games clubs. Our EYFS children have been focusing on their text of ‘Monkey Puzzle’, with all things safari and zoo; Class 1 have been studying ‘Our Country’ and focusing on the United Kingdom as well as researching boat for their DT topic; Class 2 have been exploring electricity in science and making circuits; whilst Class 3 have enjoyed yoga and the start of their DaRT sessions with DaRT Officer Graham as well as Science and DT sessions with Mr Scott who has kindly come back to support us with two of his favourite subjects.

On 29th January 2025 we welcome Mrs Milburn back from her Maternity after the birth of her daughter, Libby, the staff and children are thrilled about her return. With that being said, it will be sad to lose Mrs Clarke who has covered the Maternity Leave in Class 1 and has slotted into the ‘EverTeam’ perfectly. I would like to publicly thank Mrs Clarke for her hard work and wish her the best for the future – which includes her exciting trip to see family in New Zealand next month!

We have exciting news, as a school fundraiser we are hosting our first ever ‘Bonkers Bingo’ event on Friday 7th March 2025 at Everton Village Hall. This event is for adults only, but it is available to both our parents and local community. There'll be music, dancing and some great prizes to be won! Tickets are on sale at £20 each, which will include your bingo book and a pie and peas supper. You are welcome to ‘bring your own booze’, but to support the school you can purchase a special edition 'Bonkers Bingo' glass for just £5 to drink out of at the event. Doors open at 6:30pm, and eyes are down 7pm. Please contact Everton Primary School office on 01777817350, or pop into school to secure your tickets.
