Everton Primary School

Everyone. Everyday. Everlasting.

January 2026

The start of the new calendar year at Everton Primary School began with a lot of excitement as snow lay on the ground. Days like those are wonderful in a primary school because we get to see the expressions on children’s faces as they enjoy spending their time outdoors.

This term we have started our new after-school clubs: Games, Writing, Cooking, Choir, Multiplication and Year 6 Clubs, alongside our new topics embedded within our curriculum in school such as: ‘Dinosaurs’, Africa, Ancient Egypt and The Solar System.

During January, our Year 3 and 4 children started school swimming at Swim Stars in Bawtry, where they have shown many EverTen characteristics of learning, including confidence, enthusiasm and independence. Our Year 2 children visited our feeder secondary school – The Elizabethan Academy – where they took part in a Dance and Gymnastics workshop, showing EverTen characteristics such as confidence, ambition and enthusiasm.

We are continuing to celebrate our children’s achievements both in and out of school, as well as previous members of our school and community, so that they know that we are always proud of them. Therefore, if you, or anyone that you know in our community, has achieved something that we can celebrate in school then please let me know and it will go on our Achievement Board and be discussed with our children to help inspire them and give them even greater aspirations for the future.

Everton Primary School is a wonderful, friendly and happy school which gives opportunities for children to be children and a wide range of activities and positive experiences. We currently have spaces in Nursery, Reception and Year 1. If you are currently looking for child places in these year groups, then please apply to join the EverTeam! If you would like to arrange a school visit or ask any questions about school admission, then please feel free to call or email school on 01777817350 or office@everton.notts.sch.uk

Best wishes,
