Happy new year everyone from Everton Primary School!

In the build up to Christmas we were so busy! On Monday 1st December, the school’s Musical Theatre Club sang a selection of songs at the King William pub in Scaftworth. Then they performed ‘Seussical the Musical’, alongside our youngest children performed their Nativity, to members of the village before completing their line of performances for parents and carers. The Musical Theatre Group, led by Miss Spencer, also performed at the Christmas Light Switch on in Everton which, as always, was a lovely event to be involved in.

As a school we invited parents and carers in for our annual ‘Christmas Crafternoon’, where together we do Christmas themed activities and make decorations. We also created ‘Angel’ displays which were displayed in Everton’s church. 

Christmas is a time of giving as well as receiving, and please can I take this opportunity to publicly thank the members of Everton’s Coffee Mornings for their generous monetary donation to school, which we have put towards the gifts that our children were given for Christmas.

This month, we look forward to our Year 3 and 4 children starting their school swimming again at Swim Stars in Bawtry, whilst our Year 2 children will be going to the Elizabethan to take part in a Dance and Gymnastics workshop.

As we reach the new calendar year, please can I remind you about the new academic year: school applications are now open. If your child turns five between 1^st September 2026 and 31^st August2027, it’s now time to apply for an Everton Primary School place for September 2026. Applications are open from Monday 3^rd November 2025 to Thursday 15 January 2026. Applying online is quick and easy on the following webpage:

Everton Primary School is a wonderful, friendly and happy school which gives opportunities for children to be children and a wide range of activities and positive experiences.
